The Open Atlas of Civic Assets. Venice Biennale Proposal 2016
Our proposal aims to cast light on an essential, though oft neglected class of real estate entities: our Civic Assets, i.e. the architectural and programmatic entities that have shaped and secured the civic fabric of our nation. Our biennale proposal is to not only offer a portrait of the contemporary condition and legacy of these assets, but recognize their contemporary potential as highly valuable civic infrastructure, and suggest the strategic frameworks by which to secure and renew their role as fundamental poles of collective commitment and urban life.
